I’m Hannah Garrison. I dream, I read, and occasionally I write things down. Currently, I’m working on my first novel, Footfall, the story of a brother and sister’s journey through a foreign and magical world as they try to find their way home. I was born in Cottage Grove, Oregon, but I call The Dalles, Oregon, my hometown. In 2011, I graduated from Gonzaga University with a BA in English. I married my husband David in 2013.
For my day job, I’m a technical editor at an environmental consulting firm. When I’m not correcting an engineer’s grammar or falling down the rabbit hole that is writing, I like to keep myself busy. I read, hike, run, game, and tour the wine and beer country that is the Pacific Northwest.
This blog, H.L.M. Garrison – Failing Better at Writing, One Try at a Time, is where I hope to share my journey as a writer and world builder. I also want to use this space for sharing others’ work, all in the name of sharing the best stories out there. I eagerly welcome comments and discussion.
